The preorder has been made for all of you who put in your orders right away thank you! To those of you who still haven't grabbed some merch yet well what are you waiting for??
Yes we all know I am terrible at up keeping a blog and it has now been a full week since C2E2. For those of you who don't know what C2E2 is, it's Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo. So now that I have let everything sink in, I'm still not even sure where to begin. It was a fantastic weekend out in Chicago. Why? Well the past few weeks prior to C2E2 I had been feeling very overwhelmed by all I have to do, and yes running your own business you sometimes more than not tend to feel like you are working for nothing. No profit. And with no profit means not as great quality stuff or merchandise for you guys. It kinda puts a negative feeling in my mind. I'm a fragile hooman. So moving past that I was not in the greatest mood when initially coming to Chicago as I have noticed over the years C2E2 has been slowly looking amazing vendors and the space just keeps getting more empty, which sucks because I remember boothing there and everyone was always so friendly so welcoming to cosplayers. Well there I was in Chicago, DAY 1 of C2E2, besides seeing my friends who I was staying with that the hotel my first friendly face was a fan that I'd like to say became more than just a fan. I prefer to build somewhat of a relationship with my following rather than just saying I have fans. You guys mean more to me than that and when I get to meet you in person and have a real conversation with you it's really nice. So back to the first person I met, It was @Forsaken1134 (using usernames to keep identities hidden. Who knows what crazies are out there XD). He had preordered some prints for me to bring to him! He was such an uplifting person to meet and had found me every day at the convention just to say hi or grab a picture. We even discussed about some beautiful artwork pieces on blank comic covers. WHICH I'M EXCITED!!!! Second person I saw was the lovely @MokeyDMeeple, always so supportive every time I see him and AND brought me water every day at the show. We even had a lovely dinner before leaving chicago for good on the last day. Though I have to say your chicken sandwiches are PLAIN AF! LOL.
But now let me get serious. why was this weekend SO uplifting? One was a conversation I had with Mrs Leeana Vamp and Cameron Vamp. It is always such a pleasure to see them as we have been friends for many many years now, we had a conversation about something that has been bothering me very much within the cosplay community but I can't really say it or I'd be a hypocrite because man we gotta pull that money in somewhere to invest into bigger and better projects which I got to fill them in on. The conversation made me relive I wasn't the only one feeling this way about the community. Not to mention we both try to do other things but will forever been known as cosplay girls? It's not okay to group us in with that and only like us for one this. We try so hard to move our brands in the direction we want and like I said to invest the money we make off of cosplay and lewds and what not but when we try to do something else it's completely ignored. IF YOU SUPPORT US, SUPPORT ALL OF US! We are part of the cosplay generation that is getting older and can't do cosplay and conventions forever. While she has her kids tv show and books available I am branching off into couture fashion designing, and that leads me into another big thank you... While out at my favourite after parties run by @SonicBoomBox (please check out their after parties if you haven't yet!), they are definitely a wonderful cosplay party family that have accepted me in about 4 years ago and I am forever grateful. I was not a host of the afterparty that night however both Jon and his beautiful wife Cindy always make me feel special when I'm at their events. But the part that made this weekend is a discussion Cindy and I had that night. I can not release the information of this potential opportunity because nothing is set in stone. I do want to express that I'm VERY happy to see the support from my generations cosplay community in helping me push forward with this clothing line I plan to be launch between 2019-2020. Overall this weekend pumped my spirits back up and I came back strong on twitch showing you guys some motivation.
